SERVICE / EVANGELISM

“What I love about serving others is not only the real difference it makes in someone’s life but the impact it has on me when I stretch outside of my comfort zone. God uses that in a special way.”  - Virginie, attending for 6 years

The purpose of the Service and Evangelism & Missions Ministries at Covenant

is to contribute to the intentional sharing of the Gospel, both locally and globally.

Evangelism & Service are part of missions, and it starts right here in our backyard.  It means caring for others’ needs in a holistic way. It starts at home and grows outward towards relatives, friends, neighbors, and co-workers -- from across the street to across the globe.

Local

In the past few years, some examples of local service outreach have included:

  • Providing School Supplies for the children of Family ReEntry
  • Work trip to Camp Hemlock (paint, yard work) to prep for summer
  • Organizing a Blood drive at Covenant Church
  • Project Blue – partnering with the Covenant denomination to increase people’s awareness to the needs of our brothers and sisters who have no access to clean water.
  • Serving our neighbors with handy work projects
  • Partnering with Urban Impact in Bridgeport and their youth program (holiday outreaches, tutoring)

Global

On the global front, we have partnered with missionaries and Christian organizations locally and overseas. Check out a detailed list of our Partners.

Join us as we seek to help each other become more active in witnessing to others.
