Our Amazing God fully knows and loves your children and desires a personal relationship with them!
Our Children's Ministry Team and congregation are here to partner with you in raising your children to love and follow Jesus every day. Our carefully screened volunteers have a passion for discipling children through Bible-based, developmentally appropriate events and activities. Children should have fun and find relevance as they encounter God firsthand -- through worship, Scripture, and godly relationships. It is important to us to provide regular opportunities for kids to "think globally" and realize their ability to make a difference for those in need. Your children's safety is a priority; we are an "allergy aware" church with volunteer training and conscientious communication. The Children’s Ministry at Covenant partners with parents in raising their children to know and love God; to become fully devoted followers of Christ through age-appropriate opportunities for worship, discipleship, service and fellowship. Our Bible-based programs provide a safe, loving and fun environment for children to:

Kristine Lackowski — Director of Children's Ministry
Kristine graduated from Salve Regina University with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She received her Master’s Degree from Southern Connecticut State University specializing in Remedial Reading and Language Arts. After teaching for several years, Kristine made the decision to stay home to raise her three children and immersed herself in children’s ministries, volunteering in many areas. After many years of leading and directing programs and events at her former church, the Lord called her from volunteer to staff where she served as Christian Education Director. Kristine joined Covenant Church as the Director of Children’s Ministry in 2017 where she and her family now worship. Kristine deeply loves every one of the children at Covenant Church. She believes that if Jesus takes root in their heart, the fruit of that seed will continue to grow throughout the rest of their lives. (Proverbs 22:6). Watching their faith grow fills her heart! Kristine also deeply cares for their families and enjoys organizing meaningful programs which bring them together. Kristine is married to Chris, and together they have three young adult children: Brianna, Christopher, and Melanie. Now that they fly in and out of the “coop”, they cherish time together as a family when they can. In her spare time, Kristine enjoys doing things that leave an eternal impact, traveling, cooking and her newest endeavor…anything sourdough! |
